The number one brand, Hasbro Gaming, has 212 best selling products that spent 12,411 days in the Amazon Best Sellers board games category, with an average presence rate per product of 28.1 percent. Hasbro Gaming's competitors, Pressman, Wonder Forge, and Winning Moves Games, are competing next with positions 3 and 4, both having 18 best selling products in one year on Amazon US.

The brand is ahead of its competitors in the Amazon board games best sellers category, with 121 listed products vs. 18, 17, 21, etc. 

It is interesting how Mattel Games did not rank in the top 4 best-performing brands of the category, despite having the second-highest number of products sold on Amazon, 21. The reason for that is that they have remained merely 1,248 days in the best seller, compared to Pressman. The latter was there for 1,654 with 18 products, which enabled the brand to earn the second position, with Mastermind Game being its top-performing product and a presence rate of 79.5 percent on Amazon. 

Wonder Forge is in third place with 18 best selling products and a total presence of 1,621 days. Its best selling product is Wonder Forge Disney Classic Characters Matching Game, with a presence rate of 72.92 percent.

DataHawk's findings reveal that 16 brands have had a presence rate of 100 percent.

The type of product dominating the Amazon board games best sellers category is Scrabble, as it ranked twice in the top 20 brands listing on the leaderboard, with an average price of $16. Followed by Monopoly, which ranked twice in the top 30 brands, and 37 times out of 640 by different brands, mainly Hasbro Gaming. The latter has a strong presence on the top 30 brands leaderboard, as it has ranked 12 times with 6 other best selling products and is also dominating the category in terms of the number of ratings, 18,591. 

The findings also indicate that the total number of ratings for the top 30 brands is 165,041. Additionally, the total ratings for the rest of the 630 brands in the Amazon best sellers board games category are 633,662.

Surprisingly, Jax, Czech Games, and Catan Studio are in the first, second, and third positions but did not make it to the top 30 brands list. Among the top 5, Hasbro Gaming, which ranked fourth, is the only top 10 best selling brand with products in the top 30 best selling product list. 

The top 30 best selling products list is dominated by products with an average price of $22. The average selling price of the list is $27. Interestingly, the top 10 brands had different types of products listed as best sellers.

The Amazon best sellers board game is Original Sequence Games by Jax for $18 with a rating of 4.9 out of 5. Next on the list is Codenames, by Czech Games, which had a presence of 95.9 percent—followed by Catan The Board Game, priced at $42.6, with a rating of 4.8, and a presence rate of 95.9 percent.  The $10 Hasbro Connect 4 Game by Hasbro Gaming is ranked fourth on the list with a presence rate of 95.9 percent for the year.

Moreover, it is interesting that the top 4 best performing board games rank is for different games at different prices. Nevertheless, the data reveals that they all have one thing in common: all the games ranked at the top require a strategic and tactical skill set. However, what you can deduce from these findings is that each of the top-ranking board games requires players to obtain strategic skills to win the game.
